  • Welcome to the Springdale Schools Moodle!

Moodle is a great place for learning!  This is the start of our second year with Moodle, and we hope that you will find it fun and helpful.

There are classes in Moodle for every scheduled class, and for every building.

Every class starts with a forum, blogs and a calendar. If you are the teacher of a class, you can add a lot more, including a Wiki, quizzes, class notes, and many more things.

Courses for 2009-2010 School Year
by Albert Crosby - Friday, August 28, 2009, 08:11 AM

We're starting the new year with courses from the old year in place.

For teachers, this means that if your course didn't change names, numbers, periods, or sections, it will already be setup with last year's content and new students.  You can easily delete the old content -- and you can "backup" the old content to restore into a new course.

Students -- you should only be in your current courses.  You won't be in the same courses as last year.

For everyone -- there was a regrettable import problem that should be fixed now...

Moodle Algebra is Now On!
by Albert Crosby - Friday, January 16, 2009, 04:56 PM

Special for our math teachers...  You should be able to use algebra markup in our Moodle to make things like:

y=\frac{\left(x+2\right)^{2}}{3 x} or \cosh^{2}\left(x\right)-\sinh^{2}\left(x\right)=1

Look in the Moodle docs for Algebra filter for some information about it.  Also see Moodle Equation Samples.

The LaTeX filter is now turned on too, so you can actually do things a bit more complex:

$$\frac{success}{problem}=~\unitlength{.

Moodle nWiki
by Albert Crosby - Thursday, December 4, 2008, 04:45 PM
Got a bit of disappointing news for a couple of weeks for Wiki users...

There's a bug in the Wiki module that we're using. Right now, the editor only works in FireFox 3.

There should be a fix out "real soon now" that takes care of it.

Thanks!

Albert
